Meeting with Alyce Wolfe to talk cover art for Heart of the Dragon
It’s been an exciting couple of weeks as Blood of the Dragon was finally released on March 1 and has appeared in two Amazon bestseller lists! I can’t thank everyone enough for their support! The book reached #33 on the Young Adult Fantasy list and #5 on the Young Adult Fantasy Coming of Age list (yes, that’s a wee bit specific, but it was #5 out of 40)!!
You can pick up the paperback (which includes a free Kindle version) or the Kindle version at Amazon. Just click on this link!
My story content editor, Amelia Ferrel. Without her expertise, Blood of the Dragon would not have turned out as well as it did.
I’m currently doing the final read through of Heart of the Dragon, which is Book 2 of the series. I’ve already met with my illustrator Alyce Wolfe to go over cover design for the book. We’re hoping Blood of the Dragon sells well enough that I can hire Alyce to provide sketches for Heart of the Dragon in addition to the cover. I’ll be posting her drafts here as they become available. The expected publication date for Book 2 is October 2019.
Meanwhile, I’m slogging through Book 3, Soul of the Dragon. The first four chapters are done, and I’m very excited about the overall plot, but between getting Blood of the Dragon published and all my coaching, I haven’t put the time into Book 3 that I need to. I also need to finish the next episode of Sir Roger’s adventures, which I hope to get back to in the next week or so.
