While I haven't posted in a while, I have been working steadily on completing my third book, Bones of the Dragon. My biggest stumbling block turned out t
o be Chapter 15, which took me a full year to write...and rewrite...and rewrite before finally finishing in December. I'm now done through Chapter 18 and just starting on the climax, which will take at least four chapters.
To complete Chapter 15, I actually finished it twice, but found myself very dissatisfied with the results both times. I spent a couple months working on my other (still unpublished) book series before returning. For 3-4 months, all I could do was outline and research. It wasn't until I discovered the need for not one but two new characters that the plot finally moved in the right direction. After realizing a third character was nothing but a flat stereotype, I ended up writing three detailed character backstories.
Chapters 16-18 only took a few weeks and today I began work on Chapter 19, which introduces the climax. I hope to have the book fully edited and artwork done so Bones of the Dragon will be available no later than Fall 2022. Thank you for all your patience!
